Flu Season Strikes Hard
By Dayanne Rodriguez
This year's flu season has been the most dangerous, and even deadly, that we have seen in a very long time. Each year we have a few different strains of the flu virus, but this year we are seeing way more. The last time the influenza virus was this dangerous was during the 2014-2015 winter, where about 34 million people got the flu and many died.
Even though flu season has already started, there is still time to get your flu shot. Also make sure to wash your hands, and cover your sneezes and coughs. If you know someone or are around someone that’s sick, make sure to keep from sharing drinks and use hand sanitizer after coming into contact with any of their things. If you’re the one that’s sick, it’s probably best you stay at home and rest so you can get better but also to prevent spreading it. Stay safe!
