By Byron Ramos Will World War III begin? As some of you already know, many news headlines feature articles that imply a Third World War. This article will specify reasons that discredit this popular belief as well as offer explanations given by those who believe this will happen. Personally, I believe there is a big possibility that World War III will not start. Why? Iran's economic and commercial allies are not something we should fear, since it is quite doubtful that they would be militarily supported in a war against us. Iran's main allies are Russia, Lebanon and Venezuela. Lebanon is not a credible threat. They lack military power as to overpower ours. It’s highly doubtful that Russia wants to face off with the United States, although it is true that Russia has made comments of disapproval against the U.S. However, it is unlikely that Russia wants to rise in arms with the U.S. especially for a situation that doesn’t concern them. Finally, Venezuela, which has a magnitude of problems in its own country does not want to get into an armed conflict against us. The only allies that could and would support Iran militarily are the Middle Eastern militias. These include militias from Gaza and Syria, like Hezbollah, among others. They are militias that do not have a good amount of armament in order to compete with the country that has the greatest military power in the world. So the answer to the question “Will World War III begin?” is a big “No!”
