Hundreds of thousands of kids across the United States of America catch senioritis between their 11th and 12th grade year of high school. It is an epidemic that affects us all differently. For the most part you lose all sense of motivation. You are no longer are motivated to wake up to the sound of your alarm so instead you wait for it to stop and purposely sleep through it. Other times you begin to lose concentration on school work, you go from A’s and B’s to, “All I need is a 65 to pass.” Don’t lose track of what’s important: walking the stage. You’ve worked so hard to here. Don't let one more hour of sleep cost you extra time in summer school. Get out of bed and get that diploma so you can brag in your mother’s face and say “I'm halfway there.” Try setting up one more alarm. Senior Rishad Ragland, a.k.a “RAGGZ,” maintains motivation to get up keep his perfect attendance. He advises, “I set like three alarms 6:20, 6:30, and 6:35. I also don't let a little rain, snow, or storm stop me, since I have never missed a day of school.” So stay motivated and stay strong for this final stretch of high school. It will be over before you know it!

So true, Pipper. What a relevant issue you chose to write about, and you have done a great job advocating for and encouraging your peers to be tenacious in this last leg of your high school journey. I'm so proud of you all and the ways in which you have grown up since our time together in 8th grade. Keep up the good work!
