Senior Thoughts on Open Campus
By Bijaya Thapa
The new rule at East High School lets students go out of school during lunch. This rule is applied only to seniors at East High School. This latest change in East High School has gotten everyone really excited especially the seniors. This rule also let students get more freedom during school and lets them choose whatever they want to eat for lunch. A lot of students at East High School have been complaining for years about the food that’s provided but now they have the freedom to go out and eat the food they want.
Ronith Gurung, a senior at East High says, “It’s a privilege for us to be able to have that freedom. This proves that East High School believes that their students are responsible enough to have this privilege.” Amy Lewis, a teacher at East High School, says “I support the idea of letting seniors go out of school to eat during lunch as long as they stay in the limit and be responsible.” If students can be responsible with their new freedom, open campus can be a success.
