Summertime is coming and no one wants to sit in the house and be bored so here are some things that you and your friends and family might be able to do around Rochester. The Strong Museum of Play is located at 1 Manhattan Square Drive. The museum is open Monday-Thursday 10am-5pm, Friday-Saturday 10am-8pm and on Sunday 12-5pm. Another fun activity starting in June is Seabreeze amusement park, located at 4600 Culver Rd. Seabreeze admission rates are $35.99 for a ride and slide pass where you get to ride all the water rides and roller coasters, $28.99 for a pass if your under 48 inches, $13.99 for a spectator pass if you want to just walk around the park and not ride anything. They also have a night rider pass and that pass is $24.99, so if you come any time after 5pm you can stay until closing. Seabreeze also has free parking. The park hours for the month of June are 11am-9pm, July and August 11am-10pm. Seneca Park Zoo is another option, located at 2222 St. Paul St. It is open Monday-Sunday 10am-4pm, and their general admission is 2 & under free , 3-11 years is $9, 12-62 years is $12 and 63 and up is $11. Another one of my favorite places to go is Rochester Public Market located at 280 North Union Street. The public market is free to get into and you just pay for anything you want to purchase. I love going to the public market on Saturday mornings, getting breakfast and walking around looking at all the different things they have for sale. No matter how you plan to spend your summer, be sure to get out and take advantage of all the great things we have to experience here in Rochester.
