Many seniors are frustrated that we’re not receiving information in a timely manner. We are more than halfway through the school year and graduation is quickly approaching. We thought that our senior year would be fun and exciting but many feel it’s the total opposite. Things have not gone as planned and we feel like we don’t have a say in the activities that are planned. Many seniors feel that they have been receiving information on the day of or not at all. With no announcements this year, communication is a major problem. At our town hall meetings we barely have enough time to really talk about senior activities. Senior meetings are supposed to be on the First Friday of the month but in most cases they weren’t and we found out last minute. East senior Hana Nakayama says, “I feel like we aren’t being given the information on time and it’s really disappointing. I think there should be a bulletin board on each floor specifically for senior related news and there could also be one in the library.” There could be a page specifically designed for seniors on the school website because with some seniors coming to school every other day or coming in later they miss out on the information given to us at the town halls and “senior meetings.” This will make it easier to get the information they may have missed and still participate in the events of our senior year.

I can't agree more. There are so many times I wish I could get information out to all Seniors about scholarships, deadlines, etc but there doesn't seem to be one way that works for everyone. Some students use email, some never check it. Some get to hear the Eagle Eye, some don't. Some have the opportunities to get the information but when it is delivered their minds are elsewhere. I don't know as it needs to be on every hall but one central location where everyone has to pass through would be great. It would also give underclassman some ideas of what to expect in their Senior years.

The bulletin board is a simple, yet effective solution. Great idea!

The bulletin board and the webpage are both good ideas. Thank you for writing this article.

I could not agree with you but for even juniors or all grades we don't receive the information until late and no longer can participate or use the information. In the future there should be another way everyone is able to access the information in a timely and organized manor.
