​Introducing Terreil Colon

In the past two years, high school has been a series of emotions that has taught me the art of motivation, dedication, and patience.  Since most people don't make it to this point, being a senior is something I consider to be a blessing and an honor.

My name is Terreil Colon.  Out of five children (including myself), I am the firstborn. As a result of having 3 sisters and one brother, things can get chaotic at times, which makes my mom's job a lot more complicated. Despite harsh times, I respect my mother's determination to push forward. No matter how tough things get, you have to keep going. I've heard something like that from my mother once in a while, and they always stuck with me because they came from someone who is basically my hero; I may seem like a momma's boy but it might just be true.

I'll admit as a student I have my moments where I'm stressed and don't know what to do with my life, but I'm also a really good student at times. Since I believe one should build a relationship with their teacher rather than merely calling them their teacher, I get along well with them. Now, who am I as a friend? When it comes to being a friend, I am someone who always listens to what you have to say, no matter what it may be. Although I am and will always be an immature friend because I enjoy seeing my friends laugh and smile. It helps me forget about all the bad stuff in life.

My overall opinion is that I am happy with where I am now, and that I am proud to have made it through all of my struggles in order to get here. My remaining time as a Senior will be spent learning and learning from everything. Throughout my senior year, I will be diligent about learning and learning from everything. Life has so much to offer me, and I'm excited to see what it holds.
