​New Decade, New War?

New years are meant for new changes and advancement, but yet we still face conflict around the world, which might evolve into a new rising war with Iran.
 
The U.S. assassinated Iranian Major General Qasseem Solaimani, which lead to greater tensions between both nations and may result in both countries taking action. According to CNN, Peter Bergen states, “The general had the blood of many Americans on his hands." This shows that America wanted to get revenge for a grudge they had with Iran. Iran had enough with the U.S. and the growing conflict over the assassination that they have bombed the American Base in Baghdad. This has very much angered the U.S. and President Donald Trump decided to respond with economic sanctions. "This order will have a major impact on the Iranian economy," President Donald Trump said. This act would not only punish the Iranian government but will also hurt the innocent people who have nothing to do with the actions of both nations.
